Entry requirements for Nigerian students

Bachelor programs at ISM Distance Learning are suited for applicants who wish to receive a German degree and have a general qualification for German university admission.

Candidates from Nigeria who wish to apply for an online bachelor's program in Germany generally do not face strict conditions, as they do not require a visa or residency permit to study remotely. However, they must meet the academic and admission requirements of the ISM and the Business Administration program.

The ISM study advisors will gladly perform a free pre-check of your qualification for a Bachelor’s program, if you send them information about the school you have been attending, the school leaving certificate (if you have it already), your transcript of records and a brief CV. Also, since this program is taught in English, a level of B2-English (upper intermediate) is expected.

    Recommended application period beforehand: you can flexibly apply at any time, we recommend several weeks before your desired study start.

    Is a study visa for Germany required for Nigerian students?

    No, students who wish to pursue an entirely online degree from a German university do not need a German study visa. A study visa is only required if you need to be physically present in Germany for studies. Please note: studying in distance learning is also not a reason to be eligible for a student visa in Germany.

    This means:
