All globally active companies and organizations need specialists and managers who assume responsibility in society and the economy and make entrepreneurially sensible decisions. These decisions must be communicated to others, but at the same time be economically and socially justifiable. It is precisely this knowledge of economics that the Master of Management in the ISM distance learning program teaches and prepares you for future tasks and challenges.
The Master's degree program in Management prepares you for your future as a manager in business and teaches management skills that you need to take on management tasks. This includes technical-analytical expertise as well as analytical-quantitative methodological competence, which helps you to deal with professional challenges. In addition to the professional focus, the Management degree program aims at your social and personal development. This includes in particular the ability to work together with others in interdisciplinary, cross-functional and international teams in a goal-oriented manner and to take on leadership tasks. In addition, this degree program teaches in-depth scientific skills that will enable you to take on a leadership position e.g. in management consulting.
The Master's program in Management is offered in 2 versions:
The program can be studied full-time (4 semesters) with 120 ECTS credits or in two part-time versions (6 or 8 semesters). A version with 90 ECTS credits is also offered, which can be studied full-time (3 semesters) or in a part-time variant (6 semesters).
If you have completed a Bachelor's degree with 180 ECTS credits, our Master's in Management with 120 ECTS credits is the right choice for you. If you have already completed 210 ECTS credits in your Bachelor's degree, the 90 ECTS Master's degree is the right option for you.
ISM's distance learning M.Sc. Management program teaches you generic management skills that will help you make meaningful decisions and lead in your future in a variety of business sectors or industries. These include:
In addition, there are various specialization subjects to choose from: Digital Marketing, Sustainability, Human Resources, Digital Education, and Business Mediation & Coaching. Alternatively, you can opt for a generalist or interdisciplinary focus and combine elective modules from different areas of study.
The master's program in management is aimed at graduates of a bachelor's program with at least 50 ECTS in economics and an interest in working in management positions in the future. The program deals with the question of how to strategically and responsibly manage a company and its employees. You should also be willing to develop personally and be open to new challenges.
As you can see from the curriculum, you have the opportunity to select six electives. If you choose at least four of the electives from one of the five specialisation each, we can add the corresponding specialisation to your M.Sc. Management degree certificate. You can currently choose from the following specialisations:
Of course, if you simply want to choose your own electives, that's no problem either. In this case, the additional information about the specialisation is simply omitted from the degree certificate. More detailed information on which electives belong to which specialisation can be found in this graphic.
