Change of university? The recognition of your previous work at ISM

Did you know that with certain previous work you can shorten your study time and therefore lower your tuition fees? At ISM, the recognition of previous work is uncomplicated.

Have you already completed a degree or a qualified apprenticeship? You have specific training and further education or you want to change universities during your studies? Then you can submit an application for recognition of previous work after your application. Please note that the teaching language of our Bachelor programs is German (language level B2).

In this way

your study time will be reduced,
you learn new learning content directly
and will lower your tuition fees due to the shorter term.

Which previous work is recognised?

Achievements that correspond to the scope of the module content of the selected study program are suitable for the recognition of previous work. For example, if you are studying Business Administration and would like to change universities during your studies, Business Administration modules can be recognised. The same applies to a commercial apprenticeship or further training as a state-certified business economist (Chamber of Industry and Commerce).

The recognition of achievements is therefore possible for:

previous academic achievements (e.g. from Bachelor’s or Master’s degree programs)
completed apprenticeships
further training qualifications (e.g. Chamber of Industry and Commerce)
previous achievements when changing university
professional experience

How is previous work recognised?

We would be happy to check the recognition of your previous work for your chosen program. After you have applied via our application platform, you will have access to an application for recognition of previous work. You can fill this out online and send it off directly. We also need proof of the preliminary work to be recognised, which you can upload directly with the application. Certificates, achievement overviews, module manuals or framework curricula and job references count as proof.
