There are different ways of admission to study at ISM. The admission requirements of our University are decisive for enrolment. Classic access is via the university entrance qualification. If you do not have a “Abitur” (German university entrance qualification) or a subject-related higher education entrance qualification, there are alternative admission requirements with which you can enroll for a distance learning program. Flexibility is very important to us!
⇒ Please note that the teaching language of our Bachelor programs is German (language level B2).
The Abitur is valid across all Federal states and is recognised by us as an admission requirement without any problems and regardless of the grade point average as access to the course.
With the subject-related higher education entrance qualification, admission to the program is possible if the chosen program corresponds to the subject area.
If you do not have a Abitur, you can apply to us with a completed two-year apprenticeship and a three-year professional activity and gain access to the course after passing the aptitude test or as part of a test study. If you have completed a business apprenticeship and have also worked in this field for at least three years, we can admit you directly.
Have you successfully passed a master craftsman examination or a comparable training program? Then you have met the admission requirements even without a Abitur and will receive direct admission to the program.
Before you want to enroll for a degree at ISM, check whether you meet one of the admission requirements mentioned above.
