Student loans

Financing with advantages: The KfW student loan

With the right financing, you can not only fulfil your dream of distance learning, but you can also concentrate on the essentials without worries. One possibility is the student loan from KfW.

The loan from the Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau is aimed specifically at students, because unlike a loan, you do not need any collateral for the application. You also benefit from low interest rates. A major advantage is the flexible design of the KfW student loan. You can adjust the monthly amount paid out both upwards and downwards according to your life situation. The same applies to the payment plan. You can find all information about the KfW student loan online at kfw.de

The ISM is a state-recognized university. You can therefore apply for a student loan from KfW for the ISM distance learning program.

Who can apply for the KfW student loan?

Any full-time or part-time student at a state or state-recognized university in Germany who is not older than 44 years can apply for the KfW student loan. The place of residence must be permanent in Germany. So, students with a permanent address in Germany can apply for the KfW student loan.

The application must be submitted directly to KfW. You need a certificate of enrolment for the application. You can download this directly from the e-campus. We would be happy to send you the notification directly.

The KfW education loan

Another financing option is the KfW education loan. This is aimed at students in the last phases of their studies, training, internship or an additional, supplementary or postgraduate course.

In principle, the education loan is to be equated with the KfW student loan. You get a low-interest loan on the terms provided. These are between € 100 and € 300 per month for an education loan with a maximum term of 24 months. It is also possible, for example in the context of larger purchases, to have a part of a maximum of € 3,600 paid out directly. The maximum amount of the education loan is € 7,200.

You can apply for the student loan if you are not older than 35 years, have your residence in Germany and are doing your distance learning full-time. In addition, as a bachelor's degree student, you must be in at least the 3rd semester and have completed the first two semesters in full.

The education loan is redemption-free for the first 4 years. After that, the monthly repayment instalment is € 120.
